Popis: | This paper discusses the effect of dielectric composition on metamaterial performance in a multilayer substrate environment. It is a well-established fact that metamaterials provide negative permittivity and permeability values to a non-magnetic conducting structure by their design in the designated band of frequencies. This work delves into an analysis of how a metamaterial structure designed for 10 GHz operating frequency can be made to operate at different resonance frequencies by selecting the substrate layers in a stacked configuration. The performance exhibited by the multilayer substrates exhibit the same characteristics as that of a single layer one. The reference substrate material selected is FR4 for 10 GHz operation. Subsequently, one material with higher permittivity value (Alumina 96%) and second with lower permittivity value (Rogers RT/Duroid 5880) are incorporated into the design to analyse the performance. |
