Induced IR spectra of nitrogen and oxygen adsorbed on evaporated films of ionic crystals

Popis:	Induced IR absorptions of adsorbed nitrogen and oxygen were investigated. Evaporatcd films of alkali halides and CaF 2 served as adsorbents. In the case of N 2 adsorbed on LiF and CaF 2 two absorption bands were found. Only one band was found in all the other cases. Adsorption potentials and spectral shifts were calculatcd. These were in good agreement with experimental results
