Popis: | The oils of Tristaniopsis collina, T. exiliflora, T. laurina and Tristania neriifolia produced from plants harvested in Australia were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The oil of T. collina contained α-pinene (trace-35-9%), myrcene (5.6–29.3%) and cubenol (0-16.6%) as major components. The oil from T. exiliflora contained β-caryophyllene (13.4%) and δ-cadinene (16.4%) as major components. T. laurina was a variable species. One sample which produced an oil in poor yield, contained α-pinene (79.4%) as the major component whereas a second sample possessed an oil rich in limonene (13.0%) and globulol (9.7%). Some samples did, however, contain α-, β- and γ-eudesmol, spathulenol and globulol which amounted to almost 50% of the oil. Tristania neriifolia gave an oil rich in α-pinene (24.4%), α-eudesmol (17.8%), β-eudesmol (17.2%) and γ-eudesmol (28.0%). |
