The objective of the study was to develop a portable thermoelectric cooler with Arduino-based temperature controller for Prevnar 13 vaccine using Polyurethane foam, Polyethylene foam and fiberglass for the container. Details on how the designed prototype was fabricated and tested in specific environments were discussed on this paper. Results show that the designed prototype was able to reach and continuously provide a storage temperature range from 8°C to 25°C. The lowest temperature attained was 8°C at conditioned space and 11°C at unconditioned space which are within the required temperature range of the Prevnar 13 vaccine. |
