| Popis: | Already in the early 70’s, turbine-generator producers directed their attention towards torsional oscillations in the generator shafts. The oscillations were mainly introduced by sudden events as load changes, generator faults or operating mode switches and would result in material fatigue, thus reducing plant life time. Two shaft failures at Mohave Power Plant, USA, emphasized the need for more knowledge on the field. |
