Popis: While faced with the task of making decisions on complex issues, many local government officials frequently experience a lack of adequate training to meet their responsibilities. The Center for the Study of Local Government (CSLG), at St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota, is responding to this dilemma with a training program with maximum diffusion capability. The CSLG staff has brought together planning experts, local officials, and professionals from various fields to build relevant learning experiences around client-identified needs. This interdependent effort has produced eight closed-learning, instructional “modules”: zoning, planning law, intergovernmental cooperation, land use planning, management of growth, policy development, team effectiveness, and leadership styles.
