Popis: | The construction industry consists of a complex chain of actors: clients, contractors, consultants, designers, service providers, and suppliers. Its complexity is because it involves many phases, several technical areas, and many stakeholders. Another aspect of construction projects relates to the typical performance problems they face: delays, overcharges, and technical nonconformities are just one of the main issues. To improve their performance and ensure competitiveness in the market, actors in the construction chain have, more and more, established partnerships. The partnerships have been presented as an effective strategy for the management of projects in the construction industry, improving relationships among its predominantly competitive actors, making them more collaborative and cooperative. In this sense, it is necessary to identify the organization’s objectives regarding the partnership. Then, the company can establish partnering categories, allocating partners to them. Thus, this research proposes a model for sorting partners of services according to the level of partnership required, based on PROMSORT multicriteria methodology. A case study was carried out in a large construction company, specifically in a highway project. As a result, ten potential partners were classified into three pre-determined categories, allowing the company to establish different partner selection strategies for each class. |
