Infrared and Raman spectra of Si(CCH)4 and Ge(CCH)4, and the infrared spectrum of Sn(CCH)4

Popis: Infrared spectra of Si(CCH) 4 , Ge(CCH) 4 , and Sn(CCH) 4 have been measured from 33 to 4000 cm −1 for the vapor and for solutions in several solvents. Raman spectra with polarizations were obtained for solutions of the first two compounds only. T d symmetry was assumed and was completely satisfactory. Most of the spectroscopically-active fundamentals of the silicon and germanium compounds could be assigned with little difficulty.
