Popis: | A nine element array of high purity germanium has been constructed and is under evaluation as a radioisotope imaging device for diagnostic nuclear medicine studies. The system is suspended over a computer-driven scanning bed and remains stationary while the patient is moved in an x-y raster beneath the collimated detectors. The system is interfaced to a PDP-ll computer via CAMAC and is capable of collecting data from two SCA windows per detector. The capability of longitudinal section tomography has been developed and studies are now underway in animals and patients to evaluate the clinical applications of this system. |
