New results about the osmium-zirconium system

Popis: A thermodynamic study of the binary system Os Zr has been carried out. Direct reaction calorimetry at high temperature gave the enthalpies of formation of Os 0.24 Zr 0.54 (Δ 1 H = −40500 ± 1400J(at. mol) −1 ) Os 0.53 Zr 0.67 (Δ 1 H = −20500 ± 2500J(at. mol) −1 )and Os 0.24 Zr 0.54 (Δ 1 H = − 28800 ± 1200J(at. mol) −1 ). Two intermetalic compounds have been discovered, OsZr 2 and Os 1 Zr 54 . A thermodynamic phase diagram computation of the system is proposed.
