Lattice Mismatch Effects between the Substrate and GMR La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 Thin Films Studied by Scanning Probe Microscopy and Raman Spectroscopy

Popis: | The characterisation by magnetic force microscopy (MFM) of the magnetic microstructure of the surface of two ferromagnetic La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 films deposited on two oriented LaAlO3 (001) and SrTiO3 (001) substrates is reported. Using Raman spectroscopy, the vibrational modes of the thin films are studied and compared to the bulk ones. We show that the magnetic pattern recorded by MFM for the two films can be correlated to shifts of modes in the Raman spectroscopy spectra. These results are explained by taking into account the lattice mismatch between the film and the substrate and interpreted in terms of stress induced in the film by the substrate. |
