Popis: | A polymer of monocyanoacetylene was prepared by solid state reaction at high pressure. A black solid 5 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness was recovered after polymerization of the monomer crystal in a piston cylinder apparatus for 64 hours at 1.7 GPa and room temperature. The Raman and ir spectra of the reaction product indicated the formation of a conjugated linear polymer with the CN pendant group. |
