Popis: | A new method of eliminating the initializing process from phase change recording media production has been proposed. The process is based on the use of krypton instead of argon for the deposition of GeSbTe recording film. By this method the kinetic energy of sputtered atoms can be reduced by collisions with gas atoms. Fairly good recording performance was demonstrated on a non-initialized disc based on the DVD-RAM ver.2.0 format. |
