Typical body defense responses to monotherapy with immune-correcting drugs were investigated. The data obtained suggest the merely triggering role of immune-correcting drugs in the defense responses targeted at recovering body homeostasis impaired by pathological processes. The specificity of their effect is still unclear in view of the complexity of the immune system structure. Besides the immune system, immune-correcting drugs can influence the biochemical, neuroendocrinal, morphological, and other circuits. The investigations conducted reveal, on the one hand, a clear-cut dependence of the efficacy of immune-correcting therapy on the type of the drug applied, and, on the other hand, the existence of some stereotyped responses, which lead to normalization of immune reactivity in certain diseases. |
