Popis: | This paper introduces a comprehensive approach to the development of doubly salient permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (DSPMLSM) including design, analysis, optimization, and experimental validation. Due to the proposed reduction design, force ripple caused by end-effect is dramatically reduced without any auxiliary teeth on both ends of mover. Response surface methodology (RSM) combined with 2D finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to maximize rated thrust. A prototype was made based on the analysis and tested to confirm the validity of the analysis. The comparison between analysis and experiment shows an excellent agreement. Controllabilty of the prototype is also examined to show applicability in general-purpose automation applications. It is experimentally shown that the proposed DSPMLSM topology successfully achieve high acceleration, high speed, and high precision positioning capability. |
