Operation of a track sensitive hydrogen target inside a neon-hydrogen bubble chamber

Popis: Two track sensitive hydrogen targets were developed. One of them was operated inside the 81 cm CERN bubble chamber filled with hydrogen. The other one was operated inside the 85 cm DESY bubble chamber which was filled with various neon-hydrogen mixtures. The results indicate the possibility of overlapping the thermodynamic ranges of sensitivity for hydrogen and for neon-hydrogen mixtures up to at least 14 mol % neon content. In this way bubble tracks can be obtained simultaneously in both media.
