New subgenus and species of Tydaeolinae (Acariformes: Prostigmata: Tydeoidea) from Germany

Popis:	Paratriophtydeus (Platytydaeolus) russelli, a new subgenus and species of the subfamily Tydaeolinae, is described from continental sandy habitats in Sandhausen, southwest Germany. It is characterized by uniquely shaped flattened bothridial setae. Some morphologic and anatomic structures are depicted for Tydaeolinae for the first time.
