Low frequency radiation from a finite flat plate into an acoustic fluid

Popis:	The power transmitted into an acoustic fluid by a finite flat plate vibrating with low frequency is investigated. It is found that large power drops occur at certain frequencies which are identical to the null power frequencies of the equivalent periodically supported infinite plate. The power transmitted at other frequencies is considerably different between the two cases. Numerical results for steel and adiprene plates which are simply supported and in contact with water are obtained and presented graphically.
