Popis: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are relapsing inflammatory diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Paediatric patients with IBD can experience adverse psychosocial outcomes, such as anxiety and depression. This adds to the burden of disease, and can lead to lower quality of life, poor treatment compliance, higher morbidity and higher mortality. Therefore, regular screening for anxiety and depression has been recommended, as well as regular monitoring of the disease burden and quality of life, using Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs). However, the effect of implementing Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM) for psychological outcomes has not been studied in this patient group. Therefore, the objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of implementing PROMs in healthcare for children and adolescents with IBD at a tertiary care hospital. In this prospective cohort study 8-18 year old patients with IBD and their parents will complete the PROMs as part of standard care. Referrals to a psychologist, as well as treatment outcomes and scores on the PROMs will be assessed.
