Popis: Patterns of spatial use and synchrony; as documented in research footage deposited in the Human Studies Film Archives, Smithsonian Institution, are used to characterize the underlying Maring movement style and to relate two basic forms of Maring dance to different spheres of Maring daily life. Maring social organization, as described verbally in written ethnography, is linked to observable movement characteristics. Similarities are found between movement patterns seen at both micro‐analytic and macro‐analytic levels.
