Popis: | This paper studies the combined effect of different percentages of calcined hydrotalcite of Mg3Al-CO3 and different concentrations of CO2 in the curing atmosphere on the fresh and hardened properties of a commercial one-coat mortar. The workable life, fresh and dry bulk density decreased with the incorporation of calcined hydrotalcite, which (also) helped to maintain the mechanical properties of mortar over time. CO2 increased the dry bulk density, decreased the accessible porosity for water, and improved the mechanical properties of all one-coat mortar samples. Calcined hydrotalcite reduced the carbonation phenomenon which could mitigate the appearance of pathologies in the coatings. |
