This chapter discusses two works by the artist Judith Lauand, one of the greatest representatives of the Brazilian Concrete Art movement. Through the interstice between art critical theory and the analysis of the technology of construction of her paintings, the research demonstrates the conceptual dimension present in its materiality. Despite the regular use of traditional painting techniques and materials, the artist innovates by incorporating and blending new and industrial materials in her works, thus creating a new conceptual approach and aesthetics. |
