Popis: Nowadays civil aviation is developing at a very fast pace. One of the most important tasks in this area is the recognition and laying a safe route of the aircrafts. Due to the number of planes near the big cities this task is the most important, since the cost of an error is extremely high. modern technologies do not stand still and civil aviation is constantly improving methods of data exchange between earth and other planes. Every plane nowadays must contain the special equipment called transponder for detection and routing. The main task of the transponder is the digital transmission of all information to the ground without errors. This article contains information about the algorithms of the transponder functioning, their basic modes of operation in the air and ground, responses, error detection etc. The error correction algorithms for Mode S are presented, time delays for all algorithms are calculated and compared.
