Popis: A 980 kN (220 000 lb) capacity test machine has been developed to study the fatigue behavior of concrete under biaxial compression. It features a load bifurcation mechanism and brush-type loading platens. Concrete plates 15.2 by 15.2 by 3.8 cm (6 by 6 by 1.5 in.) can be tested with the two principal stress ratios ranging from 0 (uniaxial) to 1.0 (equal biaxial), and without edge frictional constraint. Deformations in the three principal directions can be measured continuously throughout a test using a capacitance-type measuring device.
