The date obtained within the scope of the research is analyzed using the MAXQDA 2020 program. In our study, it is determined that the biggest issue concerned by mothers during their experiences from the birth of their disabled children to the adolescence is psychological disorders. It is observed that the current and future problems of mothers are focused on lack of information, independence and the anxiety of who will take care of their children in the future. Further, it is stated that the physical changes brought by the adolescence do not generally make a difference in the behavior of children. State support, insufficient educational opportunities, and the low number of qualified educators are among the other problems expressed. In the study, it is recommended to carry out information studies on mentally retarded child in adolescence and to create psychological support programs to solve the concerns of mothers. |
