Investigations of processes in a glow electrical discharge singlet-oxygen generator for oxygen-iodine laser

Popis: Singlet oxygen (SO) concentration exceeding 20% is obtained in pure oxygen with the help of a glow-discharge singlet oxygen generator (DSOG). SO concentration exceeding 30% is obtained using homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysts at 0.5-1 Torr of pure oxygen. The possibility to develop an electrical discharge singlet oxygen generator for oxygen-iodine lasers, which is an alternative to a SO chemical generator is demonstrated.
