Background: The goal hereof is to develop guidelines on calculating the standard and design resistances of vibrated, centrifugated, and vibration-centrifugated heavy concrete so as to enable calculations based on Group I and II limit states. Methods: To that end, the authors analyzed the results of their multiple experiments involving specimens of all the three kinds of concrete. Statistical processing of experimental data derived the standard resistance to compression and tension at 0.95 confidence level for vibration, centrifugated, and vibration-centrifugated concrete. The paper further identifies the technology- and age-dependent differences in the integral structural properties of all the three kinds of concrete. Results: Proposals are made on how to calculate the integral properties of centrifugated and vibration-centrifugated concrete at an age of 28 by applying adjustment factors to the corresponding properties of vibrated concrete. To determine the integral properties of vibration, centrifugated, and vibration-centrifugated concrete as a function of age, the paper proposes correlations whose factors are found herein statistically. Conclusions: This research has produced experimental and analytical tensile and compressive stress-strain curves of vibrated, centrifugated, and vibration-centrifugated concrete of any age; these are proven similar. Plotting recommendations are presented herein. |
