Popis: | An improved experimental method for the chemical speciation and study of metal ion reactions with soils and soil components is reported. The method that combines on-line HPLC micro extraction with off-line microfiltration can avoid the hysteresis problem, identify relevant free and bound chemical species, and produce mechanisms constants. The method is demonstrated with Zn(II) and Cd(II) reactions with a soil from a St. Lawrence River watershed. |
