Popis: Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) that combine hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity are attractive zero emission power sources for nomad and stationary applications. The heart of PEMFC is the membrane electrode assembly (MEA). It consists of a proton exchange membrane coated on both side with active layers (AL), where electrochemical reactions take place, and with gas diffusion layers. Fuel cell performance is largely controlled by the AL microstructure composed of nanometer-scale metallic electrocatalysts supported on black carbon surrounding by recast ionomer.
