| Popis: | Two cases of Marfan's syndrome are described. The rapid development of cardiac failure which resulted in the early death of these children was probably influenced by severe involvement of the mitral valve in both instances. One patient showed the classic features of the syndrome, with dilatation of the ascending aorta; the other had a large defect of the atrial septum and aneurysmal dilatation of the pulmonary artery. The localization and progression of the cardiovascular changes in Marfan's syndrome appear to be largely dependent on hemodynamic factors. |
