Working with the Orange County Registrar of Voters, we test the impact of local voters receiving a mailed postcard from their Elections Office. The goal of this study is to assess how increasing operational transparency changes voter trust in elections, their election officials, and elections office. Specifically, we varied whether voters received a postcard and the topic of it. Postcards included: 1) Vote by Mail Transparency, 2) Vote by Mail Security, 3) Drop Box Security, 4) Election Worker Security, 5) Orange County as a trusted source, 6) Voter Election Security, and 7) Voter identity as well as a control. |
