Popis: | With increased penetration of renewables, particularly wind and solar, the need for providing flexible and predictable output from the renewable plant is critical. To meet such requirements, an energy buffer such as battery storage which can be controlled and integrated with the renewable plant in a cost-effective manner is a key enabler. This paper presents a wind turbine integrated storage solution which was deployed at a wind farm in the United States. Such demonstrated capability can provide confidence in technology which has the potential of enabling large scale shift to renewables. |
