Popis:	The purpose of these investigations was to determine displacement of roof rocks in the neighbourhood of a moving longwall face in order to define the primary and secondary regions of caving while working seams by longwall mining. Investigations showed that regions of primary and secondary caving extend to a height of 3–3·5 times the thickness of the seam extracted.
