Popis: | A compact spectrometer, in the 19–25 GHz range, named stationary waves integrated Fourier transform spectrometer (SWIFTS) has been designed and used for single-tone spectrum recovery. The experimental results show a very good agreement with the simulated ones obtained from combined circuit and 2D electromagnetic simulations. The application aims at observing the 22-GHz water line for astronomical purpose. The SWIFTS is inherently a real-time spectrometer. Presented results are state-of-the-art results when compared with actual real-time spectrometry in terms of compactness and acquisition fastness. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
