Popis:	The hallmark of autoimmune disorders is the presence of serologically detectable autoantibodies. The appearance of autoantibodies in patients is tacitly assumed to reflect the acquisition of new antibody activities. However, it is now well recognized that some autoantibodies are also present in healthy individuals (1). Recent evidence suggests that their expression may be regulated by an idiotype network (2).
