Popis:	In our review of the research on psychic disorders after open heart surgery published 10 years ago [1], we pointed out the heterogeneity in description, assessment and classification of these disorders. One of the major consequences of the heterogeneity was a great variation in data on the prevalence of postoperative psychic disturbances; frequencies ranged from about 5 to more than 40 per cent.
