Popis:	A new measurement of the reaction /sup 18/O(d,t)/sup 17/O, and a distorted wave Born approximation analysis, yield sepctroscopic factors of 1.48 and 0.29 for the 5/2/sup +/ ground state and 1/2/sup +/ first-excited state, respectively. The ratio 0.195 +- 0.015 is still in serious disagreement with a recent theoretical value of 0.27. Inclusion of inelastic two-step processes, through the 2/sup +/ of /sup 18 +/O, changes the ratio to 0.24, closer to the theoretical value.
