Popis:	Ornithology has suffered a grievous loss by the death of Rear-Admiral Hubert Lynes, which occurred after a short illness at a Naval Hospital in Wales on 10 November, 1942, a few days before his sixty-eighth birthday. Those who knew him will remember him not alone for his talents and achievements, but as a man of exceptional character and as an ever faithful friend and good companion.
