Popis: | The phase diagrams of the binary systems containing UO2 and the oxides MgO, Al2O3, and BeO have been constructed using (1) the laws of ideal solutions and (2) the approximation that the entropy of fusion of polyatomic molecules is N R, where N is the number of atoms per molecule. Reasonable values of the eutectic composition and temperature and satisfactory agreement with experiment have been obtained. |
