The real reasons for choosing bushing fiber (Luffa cylindrica): A bibliographic review

Popis: | Growing environmental issues and the search for alternatives to synthetic fibers have led to the development of composite materials made from natural fibers. Luffa Cylindrica has an important prominence in scientific research due to its properties presenting excellent results for the use of reinforcement in matrices. Therefore, this work aims to analyze the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of bushing fiber based on scientific articles. The publications were selected from a search in the databases, CAPES Periodicals, Scielo and Google Scholar, from 2003 to 2021. Thirty-three works were selected that deal with the properties of Luffa Cylindrica, with twelve articles from the years of 2017 to 2021. It was concluded, with this review, that Luffa Cylindrica encompasses ideal qualities for use as reinforcement of composite materials, as it abundant in nature, low cost and low weight, is non-toxic and has physical and chemical stability. |
