An Investigation of a Possible Relationship Between the Height of the Low-Latitude Tropopause and the Sunspot Number

Popis:	A 20-year time series of the height of the tropopause measured at 11 low-latitude rawinsonde stations has been tested in various ways for correlation with Zurich sunspot number. At most stations positive correlations were found and the strength of the response weakened away from the equator. The maximum change in elevation observed was −0.5 km, a 3° decrease from solar maximum to minimum.
