The photo-electric properties and the electron structure of poly-Schiff base macromolecules

Popis: The photo-electric properties of poly-Schiff bases, the polymeric analogues m, m-, p, m-, p- , and p, p -isomers od poly-(xylalphenylenediamine), were studied. We show here on the basis of the spectral analysis of the photo-current curves and the optical absorptions by the polymeric and low mol.wt. models of Schiff bases that these compounds have their specific conductivity. The photo-electric properties of the poly-Schiff bases have been established to depend on the energy and type of the lower electron transfer, which is determined by the electron structure of the polymer.
