Popis: | The paper presents some considerations about designing optical components in electro-optical image intensifier night vision systems. In such systems very important is the modulation transfer function (MTF) at the interest spatial frequencies (0...50 cy/mm), instead of RMS spot size. The relationship between imposed observation ranges and the MTF of the optical system is through the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the entire electro-optical system. To illustrate these considerations we present an example of work in the design of the objective lens for an electro-optical image intensifier night vision sight. |
