Popis: The aim of this study is to identify an effective Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) approach that can differentiate between a usable and unusable piece of aged soft body armour that is for protection of body. Firstly, target materials were aged artificially through heating and humidity. Secondly, new and aged samples were analyzed in terms of strength through Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The outcome of FTIR was compared with the tensile test result to validate the proposed NDE approach.
