Popis: X ray analyses on a hard coke (saccharose carbon) show that increasing heat treatment temperatures do not affect the diameter of elementary carbon layers; the crystallite growth along the c axis is strongly limited (nine layers at a maximum). The essential effect of heat treatment is a progressive elimination of lattice distortions.
