Popis:	Compression set is one of the most important properties of rubber, particularly for sealing applications. Nevertheless, this key characteristic is frequently disregarded or misinterpreted when it comes to material selection. Compression set and the method of determining this material property are described by reference to silicone elastomers. Critical parameters influencing compression set are illustrated by means of examples and a comparison is made between established test standards.
