We will examine if two debiasing techniques (elaborative feedback and consider-the-opposite) can improve performance on cognitive reflection test items. This experiment will contain several modifications from Experiment 1: 1) we will use open ended response format, 2) we will use two structurally similar CRTs for pre- and posttest, 3) we will measure response time, and 4) we will use two new transfer tasks, a structurally dissimilar CRT for a near-transfer task and belief bias items for a far-transfer task. |
