Yebra et al. (2019) demonstrated that actions enhanced recognition memory for items that was unrelated to the actions (i.e., Action-induced memory enhancement: AIME). In their experiments, participants were presented memory items during Go/Nogo task, and remembered more items presented in the Go trial than those presented in the Nogo trial in a surprising recognition test. However, the cognitive process underlying the enhance effect remains poorly understood. We thus aim to investigate whether memory for actions would help ones retrieve presented items as a associative cue. |
