Popis:	The crystallized botulinum toxin type A now used in treatment, Batch 79-11 prepared in November 1979 and licensed as an Orphan drug by the FDA in December 1989, has served well for treatment of many human dystonias and other involuntary muscle movement disorders. The continued production of high quality botulinum toxin presents some important problems that must be investigated. In this presentation we wish to make some proposals that should improve the quality of the toxin as a pharmaceutical.
