Popis: | Caryocar brasiliense, pequizeiro, is one of the most important plant species of the cerrado. In traditional medicine, its fruits, commonly called pequi, are used as toning, aphrodisiac and antitumor. Phytochemical research in plants investigates the presence of chemical constituents with the possibility of biological and therapeutic potential. The present work has as objective to realize phytochemical approach in almond and pulp of Caryocar brasiliense Cambess. The almond and the pulp were obtained from the fruit commercially purchased in the market of Montes Claros - MG, crushed in blender, submitted to oven drying at 50°C. Afterwards, they were submitted to the phytochemical approach to identify alkaloids, anthraquinone glycosides, flavonoids, saponins and tannins. The results of the tests were positive for alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and negative for the presence of anthraquinone glycosides. The presence of compounds verified in this phytochemical approach suggests other studies to evaluate the biological activities of extracts and fractions from the almond and pulp of Caryocar brasiliense Cambess that may contribute to the identification of active principles with therapeutic potential. |
